Earthquake in New Zealand, September 2 [fr]

Following the September 2 earthquake which struck off the north-east coast of New Zealand, New Zealand authorities lifted the tsunami alert.

However, scientific agency GNS predicts possible aftershock this month, which is a reminder that New Zealand experiences significant seismic activity, with about 20,000 seismic events a year.
