Prizegiving at Victoria University of Wellington
Five very well deserving students from Victoria University’s French Department awarded prizes by the Embassy of France to New Zealand.
During a ceremony organised by Victoria University on Wednesday the 8th of September 2011, Thomas McKenzie, Cruz Johnson, Jeremy Riddle, Joy Lancaster and Sam Humphrey were awarded books and medals from the French Institute ’la Monnaie de Paris’.
The awards were presented to the students by the Head of the Cultural and Scientific Section of the French Embassy. This prizegiving, which aims to encourage the top students of the French departments of New Zealand universities, is part of the policy of promoting the French language and culture organised by the Embassy’s Cultural and Scientific Section.
