Te Ataata Residency [fr]

The Cultural Office of the French Embassy in New Zealand and Auckland University of Technology are pleased to announce the creation of a residency programme for a French creative practitioner to be hosted at Colab in Auckland in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

The Te Ataata (shadow, reflection, virtual in Te Reo) residency will enable the development of new initiatives and joint collaborations. It allows a French creative professional to come to New Zealand for a period of 8 to 12 weeks and includes international return airfares, accommodation and a stipend of NZ$1000 per week.

Applicants from art, design or engineering backgrounds, who demonstrate a strong engagement in new media and hybrid practices, working in emergent areas using creative technologies are welcomed.

Timeline

Call for applications: March, 2015
Application deadline: 30th April, 2015
Selection: May 2015
Participation: Up to 12 weeks duration between June and December, 2015

JPEGColab is a collaboratory for creative technologies research, teaching and experimental practice at Auckland University of Technology. Colab is engaged in both academic and public programmes, supporting the development and showcasing of digital and new media art forms and linking with key cultural and scientific organisations to foster and promote dialogue and exchange.
