For the first time since the trade fair was started, a delegation of six French companies took part in the event as part of UBIFRANCE’s operation Mission découverte Australie et Nouvelle-Zélande ("Discovery Mission Australia and New Zealand"), initiated by the French Trade Commission in Wellington and AXEMA, the French Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers’ Association.
In the international section of the central pavilion (PA8) AXEMA and six French enterprises were represented : Tecnoma, Pichon Industries, Kuhn, SAS Dubrulle, Bourgouin, and Forges de Niaux.
During the Fieldays, besides workshops about the New Zealand agricultural sector and visits by agribusinesses, each French company got together with potential business partners in individual meetings arranged by the French Trade Commission in Wellington. Bilateral meetings were organised with Federated Farmers, New Zealand Agritech, Environment Waikato, and AgResearch.
The delegation also had the opportunity to develop links with the New Zealand business community over the course of several networking events to which the delegates were invited.
